For those of you who have not been to Greece, here is what a typical Greek bathroom looks like. Note the "shower".

I don't know what to make of the graffiti in Greece. Some of it is completely incomprehensible, as the one one the top. We're guessing they misspelled "Jews". Much of it is anti-American, yet most of it is in English. Also, the Greeks have pretty much taken up American culture without modification, which is why we can't tell who's Greek and who's American on the street. I love the attempt at the cheesy "No Fear" logo, along with the Slayer fan.

The volcano at the center of the Santorini caldera.

Typical.

This most recent eruption of the volcano is from the 1800s, if I remember the tour guide correctly.

This is what the view from a typical restaurant on the caldera side of Fira Town looks like. That's the volcano in the center.

View from the cable car on the way down to the old port. The cable car has brought enormous cruise ship traffic to the island (the old way was to ride a donkey up or climb up the stairs). There is enough ship parking for four giant cruise ships, and one day while we were here there were three.

Shot of Fira Town from a tour boat leaving the old port.
